“Since opening in historic South Norwalk in 1997, The Loft has established itself as an icon of Fairfield County. This chic space, adorned with stainless steel martini bins, wrought iron winding staircase, brick walls, and opening facade, is ideally located on the center of the block on Washington Street. Orange lights give the main space a sophisticated glow, while the upstairs (hence the “loft”) provides a perfect perch for people watching (open on weekends and available for private events). Live music four nights a week and an open façade in the warmer months complete the inviting, exciting picture.

But that’s only part of the attraction. Our delicious, award-winning martinis, expertly prepared by stunning bartenders, have won many accolades, including the Food Network’s “Best Chocolate Indulgence in the USA” for our Chocolate Martini. In 2004 The Loft was awarded the “Best Martinis in the State” by CONNECTICUT Magazine and was featured on the cover of the September 2004 issue. The Loft has also been perennially awarded Best Bar and Best Martini in Fairfield County by Fairfield County Weekly readers. But don’t take their word for it. See what’s happening for yourself.”

2nd place winner of “Best Martini” according to the 2007 Fairfield County Weekly Best of Reader’s Poll.

According to Fairfield County Weekly, “There’s a lot to be said for well-thought out grub from the Emerald Isle. [O'Neills] is a true restaurant and pub in the classic sense, not some confused sports bar with a shamrock or two in the o’window. The bartenders can pour a Guinness with a head thick enough to think invading Iran’s a good idea, the kitchen offers not one, not two, but three different pies (Shepherd’s, Beef & Guinness and Fisherman’s) and it may be the only respectable watering hole where you can throw steel-tipped darts while munching on golden fried brie. When you need an escape hatch from the overheated SoNo club scene, can’t go o’wrong at O’Neill’s.”

The Ginger Man of South Norwalk opened its doors in April of 2007. We proudly offer 52 draught beers, one a hand pulled cask beer, and over 125 bottled selections.

The Ginger Man strives to educate our staff and customers on different styles, the brewing process and the vast diversity of beer traditions and cultures around the world.

The Ginger Man also recognizes and promotes the often overlooked relationship between beer and food.

Our restaurant offers upscale but traditional pub fare and a vast variety of bottled and draught selections that complement and complete our food menu.

For those interested in exploring the nuances of such pairings, The Ginger Man offers monthly beer dinners. Each dinner features a different brewery and offers a unique menu specially prepared by the featured brewery and The Ginger Man.
