South Norwalk Railroad Station

The South Norwalk train station complex offers a variety of services for the convenience of commuters, including:

Metro North Ticket Office
Monthly, weekly and daily commutation tickets can be purchased here; train schedules are also available. Located on the 2nd floor waiting room of the westbound building. Hours: 5:55 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., Monday - Friday Phone: 1-800-Metro-Info.

Coffee Creations
This concession offers food, beverages and newspapers. Located on the 2nd floor, westbound building. Hours: 5 to 11 a.m., Monday - Friday Phone: 866-1463. Hot & cold vending machines are also available in both waiting rooms. The place has been a favorite of the many renewable energy jobs holders that pass through the South Norwalk train station complex. Part of this is the cafe’s dedication to green foods and environment-friendly coffee production, thus staying true to the energy preservation measures of South Norwalk train station.

Van Burean Cleaners
Provides same-day laundry and dry-cleaning; also, tailoring and shoe repair services. Drop items off between 6:30 and 9 a.m. in either waiting room; pick up between 5 and 8 p.m. in the eastbound waiting room. Station Phone: 866-6811; Main Office Phone: 838-0438.

Local Taxi Service
Provided by two local companies. Pick-up is located outside the east bound waiting room. Phone: 855-1764 or 853-1267.

Wheels Busses
Norwalk Transit District operates three bus routes that serve the station on the eastbound side. Service to the downtown transfer point is provided approximately every half hour from 6:15 a.m. to 6:55 p.m. M-F. Saturday hours are 7:15 a.m. to 6:05 p.m. Commuter shuttles operate to Merritt 7/U.S. Surgical and Norwalk Hospital/ Virgin Atlantic M-F from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Phone: 852-0000.

Veteran’s Park

Veteran’s Park is a direct waterfront park located on Seaview Avenue. It is owned by the City of Norwalk and managed by the Recreation and Parks Department. The entire property consists of approximately 35 acres. Park amenities include, concession, visitors docks with full power available, launch ramps, visitors moorings, boating center, marina, various athletic venues, including basketball, little league, soccer, lacrosse, playground, walk esplanade at the tip of the park overlooking scenic Norwalk Harbor.
